About the Role
The successful candidate will teach a Year 5 class delivering engaging lessons that support pupils academic progress across core and foundation subjects. You will play a key role in preparing pupils for the expectations of upper Key Stage 2 and helping them develop strong study skills.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum
Supporting pupils development in literacy numeracy and foundation subjects
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress through regular feedback and assessments
Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities
Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff
Building strong relationships with parents and carers
Contributing to curriculum development and wider school initiatives
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
Have excellent classroom management skills
Be organised proactive and committed to high standards
Have the ability to motivate and engage pupils
Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
