This hybrid role combines People Operations Employee Experience and Event Management to shape the overall ESQlabs employee and community experience. The ideal candidate is structured and detail-oriented yet highly people-focused with the ability to create meaningful experiences that strengthen culture collaboration and engagement across our global team.

Role
As the architect of connection at ESQlabs you will design and manage the experiences that bring our culture to life - internally for our employees and externally for our client and community. From onboarding new team members to organizing company-wide retreats and client events you ensure every interaction is thoughtful efficient and memorable.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Experience & Lifecycle
Design and manage the employee journeyfrom recruitment and onboarding to career development and performance reviews as a series of high-value events. Ensure each touchpoint reflects our values strengthens engagement and supports our collaborative start-up culture.
Talent Strategy & Recruitment
Partner with leadership to forecast hiring needs and manage and execute end-to-end recruitment & people management processes. Support talent retention initiatives and contribute to building a strong engaged global team.
Global Retreats & Team Building
Plan and execute company-wide off-sites and retreats including location scouting logistics and agenda design for culture building - facilitate activities and workshops that strengthen collaboration and trust within our distributed workforce.
Client & Community Experience
Coordinate the operational execution of external conferences workshops and client training sessions ensuring a seamless and professional experience that reflects our brand hospitality and values.
Remote Culture & Engagement
Act as our Chief Vibe Officer develop and implement initiatives that foster connection within our remote team including virtual events social activities and wellbeing programs.
Operational Excellence
Streamline internal processes related to HR administration and event logistics. Manage travel coordination budgets effective communication and operational workflows to ensure efficiency and transparency.
Employee Support & Development
Serve as a primary point of contact for employees on HR-related matters including payroll coordination and policy questions. Support performance review cycles and career development initiatives.
Required skills & experience
24 years of professional experience in a role combining People Operations HR coordination event management or community building; you are a Culture Carrier and understand that culture is built through shared experiences both online and offline.
Bachelor or Masters degree (preferred) in HR Business Administration Organizational Psychology or a related field
Highly structured and detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills and a hands-on mentality
Strong interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence and a service-oriented mindset
Ability to manage multiple prioritiesfrom logistics and budgeting to internal communications
Proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving solution-oriented and ownership mindset.
Excellent written and spoken English and German is a must
Additional Qualities That Will Help You Stand Out
Experience in the Life Science industry or scientific environments
Experience working in a fast-growing startup or consultancy environment
Creative approach to internal communications and employer branding
Familiarity with international labor regulations and employment practices (EU/UK/USA)
