Our client is looking for an Expert Operations Engineer to join the IPS-T team. This product is critical for monitoring essential information about machinery and equipment breakdowns across global production plants.

You will be responsible for a system that visualizes key KPIs and manages customized alerts to escalate breakdowns to maintenance and production teams ensuring minimal downtime in a high-pressure manufacturing environment.

The Mission: You will be the technical anchor for the production monitoring landscape.

Your role involves setting up and maintaining complex CI/CD and GitOps pipelines managing Kubernetes deployments and building high-visibility monitoring solutions. You will also lead worldwide rollout projects migrating legacy systems to modern cloud-native architectures while ensuring 24/7 stability for plant operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant IT Degree Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Proven Expert level experience in Operations Engineering and DevOps.
• TDemonstrated success in supporting global rollout projects and maintaining high-availability production environments.

Essential Skills (Verified):

• Operations Management:
• Kubernetes Deployment and Configuration over Helm
• Pipeline Setup and Automation (e.g. Github Actions)
• Infrastructure as Code & GitOps tools like ArgoCD
• Experience with ITIL Operation processes (Incident Problem Change management)
• Experience with public cloud providers e.g. Microsoft Azure AWS
• Monitoring with Grafana Prometheus Loki
• Linux and knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Bash)
• Backend:
• Java (version 17 advantageous)
• Kafka (Streaming API)
• Quarkus
• Hibernate
• PostgreSQL
• Version control and branching strategies (Git)
• General:
• Design Patterns
• Data Driven Architecture

Advantageous Skills:

• Confluence / Jira
• Agile Working Model (AWM)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Problem solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Incident Change and Problem Management support
• Setup and maintain CI CD and GitOps pipelines
• Setup and maintain deployments
• Kubernetes Deployment and Config
• Monitoring with Grafana Prometheus Loki
• Support and implement worldwide rollout projects (migrate old system to new one)
• Take part in regular Scrum meetings via MS Teams. Daily Planning Estimation Refinement Review Retro
• Liaise with stakeholders and collaborate with team members
• Support existing solutions DevOps
