Job Summary

General Description (Summary description of the primary duties and objectives of the position.)
Supporting the provision of design pricing and specification services to support both internal and
external customers from all Steelcase regions including Steelcase sales offices dealers A&D and
end customers.
Responsible for developing design solutions based on the global Steelcase product portfolio from
typical development test fitting floor layouts through to the creation of post installation drawings.
Liaise with customers to understand the customer needs and to verify designs.

Task Profile (Individual duties assignments and responsibilities required of the position.)
A Support response for request for services
1. Collaborate with other team members to complete requests as required ( From research to
response )
2. Collaborate with external teams to complete requests as required
3. Communicate with customers to define request/project requirements
4. Develop solutions based on Steelcase product offerings based on process for the
respective market
5. Support the definition of special products
6. Create solution drawings
7. Read & interpret typical drawings
8. Floor plan take-offs based on typical drawings
9. Apply pricing based on process for the respetive market
10. Create complete project quotations
11. Compile RFP & RFI responses with supporting documentation
12. Calculate Freight Delivery & Installation charges together with SFT Forwarder & customers
13. Review own/peer quotes & drawings QAS
14. Submit and review solution drawings & quotation with customers
15. Create solution specification list
16. Provide technical drawings to the visualization team
17. Advise the visualization team on product solution and application

B Administrative Support

1. Update daily metrics and project management system ( AGIO/Daily Bucket/Google Docs)
2. Maintain and update project folders
3. Develop technical standards ( templates reference materials )
4. Collect and maintain RFP supporting documentation
5. Participate in monthly team meetings
C. Customer Experience Support
1. Participate with customer visits as and when required
2. Engage customers to explain department processes and services
E Development / Network
1. Maintain and update on product knowledge ( participate with product training )
2. Follow the Learning and Development curriculum and update progress
3. Mentor new hires through the Buddy System
