SalaryGrade: 57730 per annum depending on experience

Location:Shrewsbury

About IPSD

Caterpillars Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L Cat and Perkins engines that power over 5000 applications including Marine Petroleum Industrial Applications Electric Generators and Locomotives. Job Summary

Leads manages and supports projects related to process and product improvements using Lean Six Sigma and project management methodologies to achieve business goals.

WhatYouWillDo:

Designing and developing Six Sigma programs including supporting systems and tools for quality and business process improvement.

Leading and managing Six Sigma project portfolios to achieve measurable business process improvements.

Providing technical training and guidance for Green Belt professionals on the planningdevelopmentand implementation of Six Sigma projects.

Employing Six Sigmamethodologyinto organizational operations to meet business goals andobjectives.

WhatYouHave:

  • Analytical Thinking:

- Approaches a situation or problem by defining the problem or issue anddeterminingits significance.

- Makes a systematic comparison of two or more alternative solutions.

- Uses flow charts Pareto charts fish diagrams etc. todisclosemeaningful data patterns. -Identifiesthe major forces events and peopleimpactingandimpactedby the situation at hand.

- Uses logic and intuition to make inferences about the meaning of the data and arrive at conclusions.

Prerequisites Required

Bachelors degree

Project Experience

Desired:

Lean Intermediate Program

Team Leadership Experience

Prior Lean Green Belt Training

Strong Project Management Skills

Drivetrain or drivetrain components specific experience

This role will report directly to the regional Drivetrain category manager.
