Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimation Engineer to join our this role you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and performing detailed takeoffs for HVAC (duct & piping) and plumbing systems.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading Mechanical Contractor in Chicago USA while being based in our Cairo office.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quantity takeoffs for HVAC (duct & pipe) and plumbing systems including all accessories.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates using company-provided software.
- Analyze mechanical drawings and project specifications.
- Ensure proper material selection connections and system components.
- Utilize Excel (advanced formulas) for calculations and reporting.
- Support tendering and pre-construction activities.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 13 years of experience in mechanical estimation (HVAC & plumbing).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Experience with takeoff/estimation software.
- Strong Excel skills.
- English Fluency
