About the Role

The Research Assistant will support a wide range of research activities including retrospective chart reviews data entry dataset management and basic data analysis. This individual will also assist with participant-facing responsibilities such as obtaining consent collecting biological samples supporting follow-up activities and coordinating shipments according to study protocol.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining organized study records preparing reports for investigators entering and maintaining data in databases and helping ensure compliance with approved protocols and regulatory requirements. The role may also involve contributing to research project development manuscript preparation and general team coordination including scheduling meetings and distributing notes. This is a full-time on-site position working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Requirements

  • Associate degree medical or technical school training and 1 year of research experience or 2 years of experience in a research or acute healthcare environment

  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in biomedical or clinical sciences

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Working knowledge of statistics and related coursework

  • Familiarity with computer-based tracking systems and data entry tools

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions

  • Strong organization accuracy and attention to detail
