Werelooking for aJunior Applications Engineer to developmaintainand enhance internal digital applications that support Anglian Waters operational safety and asset management processes.Youllwork with Power Apps SAP-integrated tools SQL/Oracleenvironmentsand internal systems to build intuitive reliable solutions that streamline workflows and improve data quality across the business.
You will play a key role in updating andmaintainingour internal site asset data repository ensuringaccurateintegration with SAP and our Health & Safety systems. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems with technology engaging with users and bringing ideas to life in a fastmoving operational environment.
Whatyoullbe doing
Developtestand deploy Power Apps and internal applications that improve efficiency and support operational teams
Design robustback-endarchitecture for data storage and handling ensure reliable integrations are in place between existing business system
Design andmaintainbackend data architecture usingSQL/Oracleto ensure reliable integrations with SAP and other enterprise systems
Update and manage the internal site asset data repository ensuring full synchronisation with SAP and Health & Safety systems
Troubleshootmaintainand update existing business applications delivering fixes and enhancements
Create dashboardsto visualise operational data and supportdecisionmaking
Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements understand userneedsand support rollout of applications
Ensure all applicationscomply withAW data governance cybersecurityand GDPR requirements
Whatwerelooking for
Experience with Power Appslowcode/nocodeplatformsor application developmentand experience in reading other peoples code andeditingas well as building apps from scratch.
Experience with SAP SQLOracleor similar enterprise systems.
Microsoft knowledge in Power Automate.
Sharepointand Dataverse knowledge to help support existing using SharePoint Lists and SharePoint permissions.
High levelof computer literacy and confidence working with new technical systems.
Ability to manipulate analyse and present data clearly PowerBian advantage.
Strong communicationskills with ability to adapt to user needs.
Ability to challenge think differently andidentifyimprovement opportunities
Understanding of Health & Safety considerations in digital and operational environments.
Experience implementing change through technology.
Knowledge or experience of creating relational databases.
Strong Excel skills.
Understanding of JSON.
