Summer School 2nd/3rd Grade Teacher
Reports To:Building Principal
Location: Lincoln Elementary School
Positions Available: 5
The need for teachers and staff will depend on the enrollment of studenets. Student counts will not be final until mid-May.
Pay will be $45/hour; contracted time will be from 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday-Friday from June 1-18 2026

Position Summary
The Elementary Teacher is responsible for guiding students toward achieving their full potential academically emotionally and socially. This role involves creating a positive learning environment delivering effective instruction and supporting the broader school community through collaboration and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records in compliance with NLCS policies and state guidelines.
Demonstrate professional ethics and foster a respectful learning environment.
Establish and maintain collaborative and professional relationships with colleagues students and families.
Model professionalism including appropriate attire and behavior.
Effectively manage the classroom environment ensuring discipline and order are upheld.
Demonstrate expertise in subject matter and instructional delivery.
Adhere to school schedules; arrive and dismiss classes on time attend required meetings punctually.
Deliver content with enthusiasm clarity and confidence.
Monitor student behavior and ensure student safety and engagement.
Show respect and consideration for all students staff parents and community members.
Communicate instructional goals clearly and ensure lessons align with those objectives.
Protect and care for school property used in instructional activities.
Maintain an inventory of classroom texts supplies and equipment.
Foster positive school-community relationships.
Report concerns regarding student attendance health or well-being to the principal or guidance counselor.
Participate in committees and co-curricular activities as required.
Attend all required faculty meetings professional development sessions and events as scheduled.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the building principal or superintendent.
Qualifications
Valid Indiana Teaching License (K6 certification).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Commitment to supporting the academic and personal growth of all students.
Proficiency in instructional design and use of innovative interactive teaching strategies.
In-depth knowledge of best teaching practices and Indiana Academic Standards.
Demonstrated teacher-leadership experience preferred.
Ability to set priorities meet goals and collaborate effectively with colleagues to drive student achievement.
