Job Summary

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic intern to join us for the Summer 2026 semester! This is a great opportunity for current college students looking to gain experience in a fast-paced work environment learning from our experienced team.


Reporting to the Programming Supervisors of NESN and SportsNet Pittsburgh the Programming Intern will assist with strategic and operational efforts to build and curate live programming schedules for NESN SportsNet Pittsburgh and its associated streaming platforms. This role is best fit for someone who is interested in discovering how a networks content is negotiated acquired developed and transmitted to the viewing audience.


This is an onsite internship in Watertown MA paying $15/hour.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with input of monthly schedules including product metadata for affiliate EPGs.
  • Adjust eNames data to reflect ASRUN logs daily to keep accurate Nielson ratings.
  • Execute ratings requests using Nielsen Local TV View web portal.
  • Support Programming Supervisors with monthly distribution including affidavits air dates and affiliate reports.
  • Support planning of upcoming college partner schedules for NESN and SportsNet Pittsburgh.
  • Create mapping for live event planning and Master Control transmission for the Fall-Winter 2026-27 season.
  • Monitor performance of linear programming live streaming and VOD content.
  • Draft and organize new partner contracts for third party vendors.
  • Generate imagery for new VOD content and collections on NESN 360.
  • Curate NESN 360 content via ViewLift App CMS to keep home page fresh and relevant.
  • Assist in planning and execution of NESN Nation FAST Channel schedule.
  • Screen third-party program pitches and offer feedback to Programming team.
  • Observe select NESN productions as appropriate.


Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled as a student in a college or university Communications Sports Management or another related major is preferred.
  • Ability to be in the Watertown office 3 days a week.
  • Excellent written communication verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
