Job Summary

WisEngineering is currently seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack Developer with Database Administration experience to join our this role your primary focus will be designing managing and optimizing our PostgreSQL database. Additionally you will be responsible developing a responsive front-end interfaces using technologies such as React Angular or as well as for designing developing and maintaining the server-side logic of our web applications. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Java-based development experience with cloud technologies and a passion for building scalable and reliable systems with emphasis on database design and tuning. Ideal candidate will bring experience working as part of a team in an enterprise environment.

Education & Clearance Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (required)

Minimum 3 years full-stack development experience

U.S. Citizenship is a must due to contract requirements

Must be eligible for a U.S. Secret security clearance; active clearance is a plus

Location: On Site Picatinny Arsenal Dover NJ (This is not a remote position)

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities

Database Administration:

Design implement and maintain database schemas.

Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity.

Implement and manage database security measures.

Perform database backups and recovery operations.

Monitor database health and troubleshoot issues.

Full Stack Development:

Design develop and maintain Java-based back-end systems for web applications.

Develop test and maintain responsive web applications using HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks (React Angular or )

Ensure front-end code adheres to usability performance and accessibility best practices

Support the design and maintenance of software libraries and documentation in accordance with Software Engineering Data Package (SEDP) standards

Write clean efficient and well-documented code.

Implement RESTful APIs to support front-end functionality and third-party integrations.

Ensure the performance security and scalability of back-end systems.

Participate in software testing activities including test planning witnessing and validation

Collaborate with other developers to integrate various elements and components.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of development processes.

Manage build artifacts (release notes bug fixes change logs) under configuration control

Use Atlassian JIRA and Confluence for task management and tracking

Store documentation in Confluence and collaborate through Microsoft Teams

Support CI/CD processes using GitLab Jenkins Drizzle and other DevOps tools

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Utilize cloud services for storage computing and database management.

Implement and maintain cloud security best practices.

Proficiency with HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript and at least one modern framework (React Angular or )

Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration with Java-based services

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines automated testing and configuration control practices

Experience with tools like GitLab JIRA Confluence Jenkins Drizzle

Strong attention to detail in code quality documentation and user experience

Ability to work in a structured collaborative and fast-paced environment

Must have Experience:

Proven experience as a Full Stack Web Developer with a strong understanding of JavaScript TypeScript and related frameworks (e.g. ).

Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL).

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Experience:

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP).

Experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).

Experience with Java Enterprise Stack (e.g. Tomcat Liferay).

Experience with DevOps practices and tools.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (SCRUM/KANBAN).
