GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
TheChief Clinical Officeris responsible forthe direct leadershipandoversight for Brighton Centers pediatric therapy servicelines including Outpatient Therapyand Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) role is accountable for operational performance clinical excellencefinancial sustainabilityandlong-term growth acrossalltherapydisciplineservicesandearlyinterventionprogramming.
TheChief Clinical Officerensuresthe delivery of high-quality mission-driven therapyservicesandalignmentwith Brighton Centersvalues and includes strengtheningoperational performance and strategic growth of Brighton Centers pediatric therapy position ensures high-quality therapy servicesstrengthens operational systemsandinfrastructure andmaintainingfull compliancewithstatecontractsMedicaidand privateinsuranceandpayrequirements;improvingaccessandservicecapacityandoptimizingfinancial role builds scalable systems that support sustainability and prepares the organization for thoughtful expansion including the developmentofadditionaltherapy serviceofferings when conditions support growth. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position requires face-to-face interactions with co-workers families children and thegeneral publicon a daily basistoaccomplishall essential functions of the position.
OPERATIONAL& DIRECTLEADERSHIP
Responsible for successfullyoperatingBrighton Centers Outpatient Therapy and Early Childhood Intervention programsensuringclinicalexcellenceoperational effectiveness financial sustainability andfullalignment with the organizations mission and for overall program performance servicequality access to care and long-termviability across all therapylines of service.
Drives ongoing operational and serviceexcellence by analyzing performance data industry benchmarks payer trends and client outcomes toidentifyopportunities for continuousimprovement. Ensures therapy programs reflect innovative evidence-based and best practices within pediatric healthcare and early intervention.
Provides direct oversight and strategic leadership to Directors of all therapy servicelines ensuring alignment consistency and accountability across outpatient in-home community andpreschool-based settings. Enhancesandmonitorsstandardized workflows for intake scheduling evaluations treatment delivery documentation care coordination and discharge planning to promote reliable high-quality and family-centered services.
Utilizes operational audits financial analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs) tomonitorandimprove metrics related to access productivity attendance revenue integrity compliance throughput and operational reliability. Translates data into actionable strategies and ensurestimelyreporting to executive leadership. Maintains strong working knowledge of the electronic health record (EHR) documentation standards billing processes and regulatory requirements to safeguard compliance andoptimizeoperational performance.
Ensures clear communication systems and defined expectations acrossserviceline revenue cycles compliance and external partners. Promotes cross-functional collaboration to reduce silos and strengthen servicecoordinationacrossorganization.
Provides comprehensive leadership in performance management workload distribution staff development coaching and accountability. Attracts develops mentors andretainshigh-performing leaders and clinicians empowering them to expand their scope elevate performance and build internal leadership team communication psychological safety and a culture of continuousimprovement resilience and shared accountability during periods of growth and organizational change.
QUALITY COMPLIANCE & PAYER REQUIREMENTS
Providesoversight to ensure full compliance with Medicaid private pay state contract and regulatory requirements across all pediatric therapy programs. Accountable formaintainingaudit readiness and ensuringaccuratetimely andservicedelivery andreimbursementintegrity.
Ensurescomplianceto documentation standardstherapistcredentialing and licensure requirements authorization workflows and payer-specific billing rules. Establishes and monitors quality assurance systems including internal audit tools and documentation review processes to proactivelyidentifyrisksimprove clinical documentation and strengthen servicedelivery practices.
Oversees theimplementation of corrective action plans when compliance gaps areidentifiedand ensures sustainable processimprovements are embedded within operational workflows. Promotes a culture of accountability and continuous qualityimprovement across all therapy disciplines.
Partners with Compliance Billing andDirectors of therapy servicelinesto interpret and enforcethird-party payer rules and regulations within operational workflows. Collaborates with Billing leadership to review patterns in authorization lapses documentation errors and payer-related challenges and makes necessary operational adjustments. Ensures program-related regulatory reports and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
Ensuresall required program reports regulatory submissions and contract deliverables are completed accurately andsubmittedon time. Maintains oversight of policy updates and regulatory changesimpactingpediatric therapy and early intervention services to ensure organizational readiness and compliance stability.
STRATEGIC PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT & EXPANSION READINESS
Leads the strategic planning and long-term development of Brighton Centers therapy servicelines to ensure sustainable growth strong market positioning and responsiveness tocommunity needs. Responsible for evaluating and advancing opportunities to expand clinic capacity strengthen preschool partnerships and prepare for the launch ofadditionalpediatric therapy locations when organizational readiness and financial conditions support expansion.
Conducts comprehensive market research referral pipeline analysis payer mix review workforce capacity assessments and operational feasibility studies to inform data-driven expansion decisions. Assesses community demand competitive landscape reimbursement trends and facility requirements todeterminescalability and risk.
Develops and evaluates new business opportunitiesservicedelivery models and strategic partnerships(includingcollaboration withearly education partners)to enhance access sustainability and proposed growth initiatives align with Brighton Centers mission financial targets and operational capacity.
Providesformalrecommendations to theExecutiveTeamregardingservicelineexpansion staffingmodelsinfrastructureneeds financial projections and return-on-investment analysis. Creates annual departmental strategic initiatives and monitors progress toward goals. Makes proactive recommendations for program modifications to support organizational effectiveness and strategic positioning.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
Participation as a member of theExecutiveTeamcontributing to organizational strategy cross-departmental initiatives and enterprise-wide decision-making. Prepares and presents program performance and strategic reports as needed.
RepresentsBrighton Center in community partner and organizational events and supports key initiatives that advance the organizations mission and growth. Performs other duties as assigned.
