Branch Manager - Role
Location - Madison Heights
The primary purpose of this Branch Manager position is to assist Beacon Credit Union to live out our mission Dedicated to Our Members Financial Success by delivering outstanding service to both internal and external members.
This position is responsible for providing quality leadership to a given market while building a high performing team within the designated market they manage. The Branch Manager/Market Manager will perform various lending deposit gathering and management duties within his/her market to increase the banks overall market share while focusing both their and their teams efforts on building customer and brand addition the Branch Manager/Market Manager will promote cross-selling efforts of other bank products and services and overall positive customer experience and ensuring their market meets or exceeds the goals set for their area. Responsible for directing and administering the operational and sales and service efforts of the branch offices. Adhere to all Beacon policies and procedures. Meets or exceeds service goals and standards as set forth by Management.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Manage branch direct reports to maximize productivity efficiency and the potential of the human assets of the company including hiring directing job assignments monitoring staff performance coaching counseling training assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission values policies service standards goals and work rules. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation promotion and termination as appropriate.
Participates in developing business lending and deposit business for the company approximately 50% of the time. Calls on clients to expand existing business; calls on prospects seeking opportunities to expand the companys client base. Actively engages in business development and civic initiatives with contacts throughout the community including members and prospective members to achieve defined goals.
Takes applications for commercial loan business. Obtains necessary documents to fully underwrite and document credit requests. Reviews customer financial condition and assesses the members ability to re-pay the loan. Completes or directs completion of all loan documents and closes loans. Assist underwriting with obtaining information for annual reviews.
Lead Coach and Manage direct reports to meet or exceed all service standards and comply with all policies procedures and regulations. Maximize productivity efficiency and the potential of the human assets of the company including: hiring direct job assignments monitoring staff performance coaching counseling training assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission values policies and work roles. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation promotion and trains as appropriate. Make sure branch and individuals meet and exceed all sales and service goals.
Ensures all branch transactions are balanced at the close of each day. Oversees individual accountability for the handling of cash and assists in resolving balancing problems. Ensures all branch capture activity is completed at the end of the business day.
Ensures members requests and questions are promptly resolved. Handles customers complaints. Ensures customers/members are informed of Company services and policies. Counsels customers regarding their financial needs and services requested.
Monitor closely industry trends in lending and deposit operations to feed research and development activities and assure that the companyâs products services and processes are remaining competitive. Manages and oversees expenses. Pursues cost-saving measures.
