Working Hours:35 hours per week

This is a new role to build on our work to enable donations across our visited sites via the website and to become ready for appeals to a wider role is within the Fundraising Team within External Relations and Partnerships Directorate and collaborating with colleagues across the Marketing and Engagement Directorate and Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities of this role

  • Planning and delivering an increase in individual giving from site-based donations web based donations and future appeals

  • Collaborating with colleagues in Marketing Membership Communications and Operations to develop messaging and collateral.

  • Providing operational support for our delivery partners across the organisation ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures

  • Developing protocols and procedures to ensure compliant and smooth operations for individual giving including regular reporting of income to stakeholders

  • Assessing donor and prospect data to support the donor journey to legacy and major donor programmes

  • Reaching out to donors to ensure full understanding of their needs expectations and service standards and to conduct donor research where necessary

  • Support training to ensure that site-based teams have the tools and strategies needed to expand fundraising

  • Working with new suppliers to look at innovative solutions such as donation points that will meet the needs of our complex sites inform donors and securely process donations

  • Contributing to the development of new products for donors informed by donor data and good practice elsewhere

Key requirements of the role:

Essential:

  • Experience in individual giving fundraising or marketing within a tourism or charitable organisation and a willingness to be/become a member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising

  • Experience of using prospect and donor/customer data in compliance with regulations

  • Experience of working with suppliers and internal stakeholders

  • Knowledge and experience of using CRM/database systems for customer/donor data

  • Knowledge of financial processes used to ensure excellent stewardship of donated funds/payments

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing for use as web-based content

  • Able to build and maintain constructive working relationships with other teams and groups internally and externally
  • A driving licence valid in the UK and willing to travel throughout Scotland to reach our rural and more central sites (pool cars and safe working practice policies apply)
