Job Summary
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Basketball Coach to lead develop and inspirestudent-athletes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching fundamental skills fosteringteamwork and guiding players to achieve success both on and off the court.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct effective practices focused on skill development conditioning and teamwork
- Teach basketball fundamentals including shooting passing dribbling defense and game
- strategy
- Develop and implement offensive and defensive game plans
- Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback
- Promote sportsmanship discipline and a positive team culture
- Manage game-day responsibilities including lineups substitutions and in-game adjustments
- Monitor athlete safety and ensure proper use of equipment
- Communicate effectively with players parents and staff
- Maintain team records statistics and schedules
- Ensure compliance with all league school or organizational policies
Qualifications
- Previous basketball playing or coaching experience is required
- Strong knowledge of basketball rules and strategies
- Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills
- Ability to motivate and develop athletes of varying skill levels
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Background check is required
Work Schedule
- Practices and games held during evenings and weekends
- Travel may be required for away games or tournaments
