    Position Summary:
    The Student Services/Pre-Kï½5 Coordinator provides district-wide leadership for student services overseeing programs for students across Pre-K through Grade 5. This role ensures compliance with federal and Ohio special education laws coordinates specialized programs supports families and collaborates with staff and external partners to deliver seamless services. Pre-K experience and knowledge of Ohio early childhood laws and regulations are strongly preferred.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Transition Services: Coordinate smooth transitions from Early Intervention to Pre-K Pre-K to kindergarten and between elementary grade levels.
    • Caseload & Program Management: Monitor student-to-staff ratios oversee service delivery across programs and manage specialized programs including ESY alternate assessments and scholarship services (Ohio Autism & Jon Peterson).
    • Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to IDEA Section 504 Ohio Operating Standards and district policies.
    • Family & Community Engagement: Serve as primary contact for families; collaborate with community agencies healthcare providers early childhood programs and county developmental disability boards.
    • Specialized Services Coordination: Manage specialized transportation and accessibility accommodations and ensure proper staffing and resource allocation.
    • Staff Support & Training: Train staff on assessment protocols assistive technology adaptive equipment and early childhood standards.

    Essential Competencies:

    • Knowledge of IDEA Section 504 and Ohio special education and early childhood laws
    • Experience with developmental assessment tools assistive technology and adaptive equipment
    • Expertise across disability categories including autism intellectual disabilities and developmental delays
    • Familiarity with Ohio Early Learning and Development Standards
    • Strong collaboration and communication skills with families building administrators and external providers
