Job Description
As a Security Guard - Overnight Patrol Officer in Brooklyn NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location you will monitor assigned areas conduct routine foot patrols and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet and assist staff and visitors observe and report unusual activity and communicate clearly with site leadership and emergency responders. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff residents and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the facility exterior areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and interior common areas observe for unusual conditions and report maintenance concerns hazards and/or suspicious behavior according to post orders.
- Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner requesting additional support from site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Complete detailed reports and logs document incidents and patrol activity and communicate relevant information during shift briefings and/or handoffs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Guard Card/License preferred.
- Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
