Job Summary
Provides quality patient instruction and care. Must be able to work independently to provide competent care. Communicates with providers and other team members about patients clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
Qualifications
Accreditation by Joint Commission of Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology required.
At least 1 year experience working in an Ophthalmologist / Optometrist setting and completion of AAO home study course
At least 1 year experience working in an Ophthalmologist / Optometrist setting
Preferred: Graduate of 2 year ophthalmic technology training program
18 hours of continuing education credits approved by JCAHPO every 3 years
