Elekta is a global leader in precision radiation medicine striving every day to advance human care. We are now seeking an exceptional Country Manager & Sales Director to lead our commercial and operational strategy across a dynamic multicountry territory covering Romania (Direct) and Bulgaria Moldova Ukraine Latvia Lithuania and Estonia (Indirect).

This is a unique opportunity to drive impact across diverse healthcare systems shape market development for lifechanging technologies and represent a missiondriven organization dedicated to improving outcomes for patients with cancer and neurological conditions.

About the Role

As the Country Manager & Sales Director you will:

  • Define and execute the full gotomarket strategy for your territory ensuring Elektas solutions reach hospitals and clinicians who need them most.

  • Serve as Elektas appointed management representative for the Quality Management System (QMS) and hold legal entity representation where applicable.

  • Lead crossfunctional teamsSales Service Order Fulfilment and Supportto drive growth strengthen customer relationships and deliver outstanding customer satisfaction.

  • Represent Elekta to government authorities healthcare administrations and key decisionmakers shaping market access and long-term partnership success.

  • Be fully accountable for order intake revenue profitability and operational execution ensuring alignment with regional business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Market & Commercial Leadership

  • Define deploy and regularly update the country-level commercial strategy.

  • Map market potential for Radiotherapy Brachytherapy Neurosurgery and Software solutions and translate insights into actionable plans.

  • Identify and convert new customer opportunities while expanding Elektas footprint in existing accounts.

  • Lead distributor management across indirect markets driving capability compliance and long-term partnership success.

Quality Compliance & Regulatory Stewardship

  • Ensure adherence to Elektas QMS regulatory requirements and corporate policies.

  • Maintain and update regulatory strategic plans to support new product introductions.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary country team ensuring high performance collaboration and employee engagement.

  • Partner closely with Service to ensure operational excellence and a seamless customer experience.

Business & Operational Management

  • Own the country budget forecasts and resource allocation.

  • Champion adoption of core digital tools including CLM Movex Workday and Coupa.

  • Report market dynamics business risks opportunities and customer insights to senior leadership.

What Were Looking For

Experience & Expertise

  • Proven record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in capital equipment or similarly complex medical technology markets.

  • Strong understanding of direct and distributor-based sales models.

  • Familiarity with Elektas portfolio or the medical devices industry is a strong advantage.

  • Experience working in complex multicultural matrixed organizations.

Leadership & Personal Qualities

  • A strategic thinker with strong ethical judgement and integrity.

  • A persuasive communicator capable of influencing senior healthcare stakeholders.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the resilience to navigate diverse and evolving markets.

  • A motivating leader who develops people and builds high-performing teams.

Other Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in science clinical engineering or business (or equivalent experience).

  • Fluent in English; additional regional languages highly beneficial.

  • Ability to travel extensively (up to 80%).
