TheElectricMotors & Generators Commodity Manager will be accountable for the commodity strategy procurement activities and supplier partnerships for the assigned useyourexperience andexpertiseto define and drive the sourcing strategy for directmaterial commodities and spare parts ensuring top performance for the Energy Equipment and GTS businesses.
As a Commodity Manager you willbe responsible for:
- Developing and executinglong-termstrategies forElectricMotors and Generatorspartnering withBrush Power generation ensuringstrong performanceagainst procurement KPIs for the GTE GTS and CTS businesses
- Acting as a partner and point of reference forCommercialEngineering Supply Chain Product Leadershipteamson product strategy (e.g. make/buy BVC etc.)
- Integrating commodity strategies into ITO bid activities during the early engagement phase to support the development of competitive and winning customer offers
- Ensuring an effective and compliant buying process byoptimizingPO placement drivingcost reductionand BVC initiatives conductingshould costanalyses and managing cost and productivity metrics to support the commodity strategy while ensuringbest-in-classquality and delivery
- Leading supplierselection development and overall supplierpartnershipto achieve top performance in cost quality delivery and sustainability in collaboration with Engineering Quality and Fulfillment functions
- Leveraging Sales and Operationplandatato align and maximize supplier capacity with business goals ensuring clear visibility on forecasts
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelors/Masterdegree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or Economics
- Show proven experience in leading commodity or sourcing team
- Demonstrate impressive business acumen
- Bea self-starter and have good presentation and communication skills
- Able to lead complex initiatives
- Be able todemonstrateInterpersonal and leadership skills
- Havegood knowledge of supply chain and technical product
