POSITION DESCRIPTION /
In this role the Marketing Manager will lead the development and implementation of forward-thinking campaigns for branding product marketing strategy and product launches ensuring Tangrams offerings are positioned to meet market demands. The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Growth Engineering and Product teams to identify ways to extend Tangrams brand awareness and accelerate sales of its software solutions and services. The Marketing Manager will develop and execute a marketing strategy in support of the companys growth objectives
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES /
Primary Responsibilities:
- Utilize deep understanding of the Defense domain and technology marketplace - including software integration verification and system interoperability needs pain points and requirements - to develop compelling and consistent marketing content and messaging that communicates Tangrams value propositions differentiators and benefits across target markets including DoD and Defense Industrial Base (DIB) partner end users and decision makers.
- Understand the user and customer journeys to craft personas use cases and narratives that resonate with engineers developers and technical buyers as well as executive leadership in target audiences
- Collaborate with Product Engineering and Growth teams to understand product features capabilities and roadmaps to define conceptualize create and deliver content related to value propositions competitive differentiators and focused sales materials.
- Ensure Tangrams Growth team has the necessary marketing resources and tools needed to successfully implement its growth strategy and objectives
- Coordinate and execute Tangrams presence at relevant events (ie. trade shows industry days conferences webinars). This may include registration space planning coordinating delivery and installation of booth materials attendance at events etc.
- Plan and execute web SEO database marketing email and social media marketing campaigns.
- Create execute and manage complex marketing campaign strategies across multiple channels - from experiments to conversion tests through execution.
- Track and measure the success of Tangrams marketing campaigns and strategies through analyzing key performance metrics and measuring return on investment.
- Conduct market research and analyze market data to identify trends target customer needs and competitive insights to refine production positioning and support more effective and targeted marketing channel engagement.
- Support the Companys coordination with creative teams (internal and external) to generate campaign ideas designs materials and copy.
- Create and oversee the production and publishing of marketing materials including product briefs case studies whitepapers presentations blog posts and press releases.
- Support and maintain marketing technology including email CRM and CMS tools.
- Support the on-going design evolution and maintenance the Companys social media presence
- Engage with the Growth team to support the identification of critical conversion points and drop off points and develop communication plans battle cards and objection-handling content to optimize these opportunities and expand target customer funnels.
- Ability to obtain a US government security clearance.
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE /
Required Skills:
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing Engineering Communications or a related industry field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software product marketing or related roles.
- Possess ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Demonstrated experience in Marketing within or to the Department of War or other government/defense organizations is imperative.
- Demonstrated understanding of technical products particularly mission systems integration software or tools used by engineers and developers for software interoperability and verification.
- Demonstrated experience in crafting go-to-market strategies and launching products in the software or hardware space.
- Exceptional written verbal and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts. Examples of prior work products may be requested.
- Basic knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics etc.).
- Travel required up to 25%
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience using and administering Zoho Marketing Automation tool.
- Experience with basic mark-up languages (HTML and CSS) and website content management software (Webflow).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite GSuite Adobe Creative Suite and customer relationship management tools.
- Proficiency and certification for website and marketing analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics Webflow etc.).
- Professional marketing credentials (example: Professional Certified Marketer).
- Advanced understanding of data analytics and data-driven marketing decision making frameworks.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel by air car or other transportation methods.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (up to 8 hours/day).
- Ability to lift and carry lightweight items (e.g. laptops demo equipment marketing materials) up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing using a mouse writing and handling equipment.
- Visual acuity to read detailed technical documents view computer screens and operate software systems.
- Auditory ability to participate in meetings customer demos and conference calls including in potentially noisy environments (e.g. trade shows or military facilities).
- Mobility to move between office spaces customer sites conference venues and manufacturing or lab environments.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying work environments (e.g. corporate offices government buildings industrial or lab spaces).
