ASSIGNMENT DURATION IS FOR TWO TO THREE MONTHS

JOB SUMMARY


Responsibilities include data entry record validation and records and data storage.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


One (1) year of experience in data entry or data processing.


Due to the nature of this position the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Initiates and administers new-hire processing including verifying and completing I-9 forms and collecting employee personal data.
  • Administers the Federal E-Verify program by ensuring County compliance with the program monitoring and tracking work authorization termination dates and providing E-Verify program training to County staff as needed.
  • Assists with new hire processing fairs.


KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)


Knowledge of:

  • Multiple workflow processes
  • Microsoft programs (e.g. Excel Word etc.)
  • Human Resources policies and procedures
  • Personnel recordkeeping best practices

  • Establish and maintain working relationships with the general public and co-workers

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work duties are generally carried out in an office environment involving daily interactions with employees and the public.

TEMPORARY POSITIONS:

An At Will FLSA non-exempt employee who is not eligible for County benefits.

  • Are not eligible for County benefits except as otherwise provided for by policy.
  • Are not considered merit employees.
  • Are at will employees who may be terminated for any reason without notice and without a pre-termination hearing.
