What you will get to do:
The Senior Business Application Analyst will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions within SS&C GIDS. This individual will be responsible for analyzing business processes defining system requirements and facilitating the successful implementation and optimization of various business applications to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders across various departments to understand their processes identify pain points and gather detailed requirements for new or enhanced business applications.
* Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems and workflows to identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions utilizing available technologies.
* Translate complex business requirements into clear concise and comprehensive functional and technical specifications user stories and use cases.
* Partner with development teams quality assurance teams and project managers throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure solutions meet business needs and quality standards.
* Participate in the design configuration testing and deployment of business applications ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
* Develop and execute test plans cases and scripts and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate application functionality and performance.
* Provide ongoing support training and documentation to end-users ensuring effective adoption and utilization of business applications.
* Act as a subject matter expert for assigned business applications providing guidance and support to resolve issues and optimize usage.
* Research and evaluate new technologies and application features to recommend solutions that can further enhance business capabilities.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis methodologies tools and best practices within the organization.
What you will bring:
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Business Administration or a related field.
* 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Application Analyst preferably within the financial services or FinTech industry.
* Proven experience in gathering analyzing and documenting complex business requirements and translating them into functional specifications.
* Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various methodologies (Agile Waterfall).
* Experience with enterprise-level business applications (e.g. CRM ERP financial systems portfolio management systems).
* Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficiency in creating flowcharts process maps and data models.
* Experience with SQL for data analysis and querying is highly desirable.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
* Project management experience or certifications (e.g. PMP CSM) are a plus.
