VELUX is seeking a motivated and curious Sustainability & Circularity Specialist to help advance our journey toward more circular product design responsible material use and regulatory compliance.
This role is ideal for someone newly graduated or with a few years of experience who wants to combine sustainability expertiseregulatory affairs with hands-on project management in a global organization.
Meet your future team
The Sustainability & Circularity Specialist will support ongoing product sustainability and circularity initiatives helping to implement projects and work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Development Global Procurement and Public & Regulatory Affairs.
More specifically you will:
Support the development and execution of VELUXs sustainability and circularity targets contributing to assessments such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) reference service life studies and digital product passports.
Collect analyze and translate environmental data to inform decision-making assisting procurement with supplier engagement on sustainable and circular materials and ensure alignment with industry standards and upcoming EU regulatory requirements. This will include working with sustainability and circularity regulations affecting the business and attend technical standardization committee meetings.
In addition you will collaborate on cross-functional projects coordinate workshops and workstreams prepare project documentation and updates for internal stakeholders and track progress against key project milestones.
This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sustainability circularity and regulatory compliance while contributing to high-impact projects.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate has a Masters degree in Sustainability Environmental Engineering Circular Economy Material Science Industrial Ecology Design for Sustainability or a related field. Candidates with a Bachelors degree and relevant practical experience will also be considered.
Potentially youhave a few years of experience in sustainability circularity environmental impact assessment materials eco-design or life-cycle thinking combined with some exposure to project management whether through internships academic projects or professional work.
Experience in the manufacturing or construction industry is a plus. Familiarity with European sustainabilityand circularityregulationssuch as the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation andmaterial complianceand standardization work (ISO & CEN) is advantageous.
Strong analytical skills good data-handling capabilities and the ability to turn technical insights into clear messages are essential.
As a person youare proactive structured collaborative and able to manage stakeholders and coordinate tasks across teams.
Fluency in English both written and spoken is required along with eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-evolving field.
