Associate Manager Private Markets Fund Accounting

Locations: Dublin OH Hybrid

About the Role

As an Associate Manager Private Markets Fund Accounting you will play a key role in overseeing fund accounting operations for private markets clients supporting the accuracy and delivery of NAV calculations financial reporting and client deliverables. Youll review accounting records guide day-to-day processes and help ensure compliance with regulatory and client requirements.

In this role youll serve as a primary point of contact for clients collaborating with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and enhance processes. Youll also support onboarding new funds and contribute to process improvements making this an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership-oriented role while deepening your expertise in private markets within a fast-paced client-focused environment.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Assist in the preparation and/or review of daily weekly and monthly NAV (Net Asset Value) calculations for assigned funds ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and client agreements.
  • Review and approve journal entries reconciliations and other accounting records.
    Prepare and review financial statements investor reports and other ad-hoc reporting for clients.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and maintain strong client relationships.
    Collaborate with internal teams including operations legal and compliance to resolve issues and optimize processes.
  • Participate in the onboarding of new clients and funds ensuring smooth transitions and accurate setup.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of best practices and process improvements within the fund accounting department.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls policies and procedures.
  • Support audit requests and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.

Required Experience

  • 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team lead role preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in fund accounting with a strong understanding of various investment vehicles (e.g. hedge funds private equity mutual funds).

What Sets You Apart

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field. CPA or CFA designation is a plus.
  • Proven knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in fund accounting software (e.g. Advent Geneva Sungard Investran SS&C HiPortfolio) and Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
