SMEC is inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced professionals for the position of Depot Civil Expert supporting the major metro rail infrastructure project.

Role Overview:
The Depot Civil Expert will provide specialist civil engineering expertise for the design review and construction supervision of depot infrastructure ensuring works are delivered safely efficiently and in accordance with engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical oversight for civil works within the metro depot.
• Review civil engineering designs and construction documentation.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary rail teams including trackwork MEP and signaling systems.
• Support inspections testing and commissioning activities.
• Assist in technical reporting and contractor coordination.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Typically 15 years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure or railway projects.
• Experience with transport infrastructure rail depot facilities or large infrastructure projects.
• Experience in construction supervision or engineering consultancy environments.
