Aerospace Dynamics International Inc. (ADI) in Valencia CA manufactures machined parts and assemblies for the commercial and military aerospace industries. It offers structural components caps panels bulkheads fittings longerons spars chords wing ribs thrust reversers structural machine parts manufacturing tooling and stretch form blocks.

ADI was acquired by PCC in April 2014. The company has received significant capital investments since the acquisition and has a highly positive growth trajectory ahead. Comprising seven facilities on its campus in Valencia CA ADI has over 400 full-time employees on staff.

Position Summary:

The Controller is responsible for all financial aspects of the business and must ensure compliance with all PCC Corporate Policies and Procedures Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. The successful candidate will direct and coordinate the activities of accounts receivable accounts payable payroll and other miscellaneous clerical functions of the department. The incumbent also applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information prepare financial reports and complete tax reporting requirements.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepares financial reports budgets cost reports and financial forecasts on a regular basis
• Oversees the accounting staff
• Mentoring staff for purposes of ensuring that their accounting and analysis duties are done well
• Ensures that the financial records are accurate
• Ensures that every expense is properly documented
• Ensures that the books of accounts are compiled every end of the month and financial year
• Ensures that there is fiscal responsibility within the plants operations
• Responsible for the budgetary control of plant
• Corresponds with the senior management regarding any financial decisions that are made
• Maintains general ledger and financial statements on an accurate and timely basis
• Provides information to operating managers to support the day-to-day management of business.
• Provides information to outside auditors for the completion of audits
• Recommends prudent measures to reduce costs and/or increase revenues

Required Skills:

• Strong background in product cost Accounting (standard cost system) and experience in plant accounting/finance systems including strong understanding in the use of Excel.
• GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge is required. Track record of improving internal controls highly valued.
• Exceptional analytical abilities and understanding of accounting and finance issues in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports statements and projections. Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting rolling budgets and profitability and variance analysis.
• A proactive hands-on strategic thinker with solid problem solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation vs. simple reporting.
