Job Description
As a Security Officer - Entry Screener in Madison AL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will document observations communicate clearly with site teams and deliver customer service with professionalism. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Screen employees visitors and contractors at entry points using access control procedures credential verification and screening equipment such as walk-through detection and/or x-ray systems as permitted by post orders.
- Monitor and control entry and exit issue and/or track visitor credentials and direct guests to appropriate check-in locations while maintaining accurate activity logs.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including reporting concerns escalating per site protocols and supporting first responders when requested.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the building screening areas and perimeter to help to deter policy violations and/or unauthorized access with working conditions varying by site.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
