JOB SUMMARY:
Supports the Technical Services division as part of the Human Resources Business Partner/Employee Relations team by serving as the point of contact in the administration processing dissemination of information including: within division staffing employment internal staffing movement benefits personnel records payroll training and development Team Member services or employee relations. Serves as the first contact point for Team Members in issue identification and resolution where appropriate.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administers within division job posting process for all open positions for the division. Creates openings in PageUp and Peoplesoft emails out announcement of open internal positions. Receives reviews for eligibility and forwards all Internal Applications to hiring manager. Maintain departmental position tracking sheets.
- Executes offer process to include: Requesting release dates from home venue for selected Team Member(s). Partnering with Compensation for pay rates.
- Executes within division Lateral Transfer Process to include: Posting position receiving applications and reviewing for eligibility and processing applicants in order to determine who receives the lateral.
- Completes Personnel Payroll Action (PPA) forms and Position Management Action/Addition forms. Runs HR system reports for all client base as requested. Ensures employment requisitions Team Member evaluations Team Member counselings and/or area related forms are properly completed accurately tracked and/or distributed.
- First line support related to any HRBP/Employee Relation issues. Gathers information evaluates responds when appropriate and/or refers to HRBP/ER Representative Manager and/or Director for information and follow up as needed.
- Acts as a liaison with core HR partners and provides general information to Team Members on policy interpretation EAP concerns Benefit/Payroll/Records inquiries and staffing needs.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED is required.
- Bachelors degree is preferred from 4-year College or University in HR Psychology Business or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years: Human Resources experience in a fast-paced environment required preferably in an employee relations or HR generalist role; or equivalent combination of education and experience
