Job Summary

Title: Mental Health Practitioner x2

Contract Type: Permanent Full Time 35 hours

Salary: 40649 per annum to 44825 per annum (London weighted salary) or 36073 per annum to 40014 per annum (Regional salary) dependant on experience. Plus ECU* (if policy requirement are met).

Grade: 8

Reporting Office: 1 x London Stratford/Manchester Trafford or Morden Road CR4 4DA (office due to open later this year) and 1x London Stratford or Morden Road CR4 4DA (office due to open later this year)

Working Location: 1 x Trafford and London Locality. 1 x London Locality please note travel to the locations is a requirement of this role.

Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Working Pattern: 9-5 Monday to Friday

Join our Specialist Advisor Team at L&Q:

  • The role offers the chance to work creatively across housing health safeguarding and community services driving joinedup solutions for some of our most complex residents
  • This role will involve working closely with L&Qs housing management teams and our established team of specialist advisors including our Mental Health Lead Mental Health Practitioners Safeguarding and vulnerability Specialists and Domestic abuse specialists. You will work in partnership with our housing management teams to ensure confidence and best practice working with residents who experience mental health conditions to achieve positive outcomes and sustain their tenancies. This will involve navigating to the right service at the right time and working with the wider multiagency team to ensure the best support is in place for our resident.
  • These roles provide the specialist mental health expertise needed to manage complex cases reduce risk and support safe sustainable tenancies.
  • The roles report to our Mental Health Lead sat within our Housing Specialisms team

Your impact in the role:

  • To work collaboratively with your fellow Mental Health Practitioners Domestic abuse specialists and Vulnerability and Safeguarding specialists to be the lead professionals for your subject areas in the Housing Management service.
  • Developing & implementing initiatives and resources to improve outcomes for residents
  • Supporting and mentoring teams to better understand mental health service provision and how to navigate to the right service at the right time. Incorporate this awareness into working practices and consequently provide positive outcomes for residents.

What youll bring:

  • You will have a relevant professional qualification (including and not limited to Social Work Occupational Therapy Mental Health Nursing PWP ) (Essential) and a min of 2 years experience in Mental Health practice.
  • You will have excellent knowledge of mental health social care and 3rd sector support services and proven experience of navigating these services to ensure clients are able to access the right service at the right time.
  • You will have demonstratable experience of where you have worked collaboratively with services to ensure positive outcomes for clients.
  • You will have excellent practical knowledge of legislation regulation and best practice in the fields of mental health and safeguarding. You will have great case management skills when working with complex cases to make assessments formulate solutions and manage risks.
  • You will have the ability to make independent decisions and recognise circumstances where risks or decisions need to be escalated (Essential) and the ability to formulate a range of options for new or unfamiliar situations and to select the appropriate course of action to produce a logical and practical solution (Essential)
  • You will be an effective communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be able to simplify and problem solve in a co-productive way supporting others to raise skills and confidence.
