Job Responsibilities:
Supplier Development Area Leader wanted in Bowling Green Kentucky to manage complex and potential high-risk supplier situations related to part/process development; evaluate new suppliers and develop existing suppliers in performance or new process issues; perform current supplier process assessments through Launch Phase and SOP assessments as needed; establish goals and develop procedures to allow for product availability as needed while minimizing raw material work in process and finished goods inventories and supply base; perform high-risk supplier capacity analysis control plan work instruction packaging and delivery audits; review and optimize batch sizes at supply base level in conjunction with releases; perform launch supplier readiness assessment and drive the required action plans through the APQP template; perform PPAP activity and conduct Run at Rate activity at Suppliers; report Supplier Status with regard to PPAP documentation and submittals to Plant Management; improve monitor and report supplier performance (cost quality and timing); train and develop suppliers in Magnas QPF portal and manage and improve supplier QPF score; review and compile TOP FOCUS supplier agenda and work plans; assist and approve supplier corrective action processes and verify closure; coordinate and review supplier initiatives with Business unit Quality and Manufacturing teams; support and approve supplier annual lay outs; support and approve supplier (BGM) ECN process as required to support business unit; support and assist supplier costs reduction activities; review supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems; implement error proofing as required for supplier manufacturing processes; project management in the area of metal stamping of automotive components including planning execution & cross functional coordination; use advanced manufacturing technologies; perform root cause analysis for problem resolution; conduct process development and process capacity analysis for resource planning; use PPAP requirements and launch readiness processes; use knowledge of overall equipment effectiveness and manufacturing performance metrics; and use GD&T and interpretation of tool and engineering drawings. Perform other duties as required. Requires 36 months of related experience as a Senior Process Engineer Process Engineer Engineering Coordinator-Process or Supplier Development Area Leader. The related experience must include project management in the area of metal stamping of automotive components including planning execution & cross functional coordination; using advanced manufacturing technologies; performing root cause analysis for problem resolution; conducting process development and process capacity analysis for resource planning; using PPAP requirements and launch readiness processes; using knowledge of overall equipment effectiveness and manufacturing performance metrics; and using GD&T and interpretation of tool and engineering drawings. 40 hours per week; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; M-F $99965.00 per year.
