Description

Position Summary:

The Salesforce Technical Lead is responsible for the technical design development implementation and support of robust Salesforce solutions. This individual will translate complex business requirements into scalable and efficient Salesforce configurations and when necessary custom code. They will ensure adherence to best practices provide technical leadership and contribute hands-on to development efforts with a strong emphasis on leveraging declarative capabilities.

This high-impact role will be responsible for architecting the integration of Salesforce into our broader digital ecosystem ensuring a seamless user experience and efficient data flow across platforms. The Salesforce Technical Lead will mentor junior technical staff and collaborate closely with cross-functional web technology product and commercial teams to design and deliver scalable user-centric solutions.


Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Translate complex business requirements into clear actionable Salesforce solutions prioritizing declarative (configuration-based) approaches.
  2. Design develop test and deploy high-quality Salesforce solutions including advanced configurations (Flows Process Builder Custom Objects Validation Rules) and custom development (Apex Lightning Web Components) when declarative options are insufficient.
  3. Provide expert guidance on Salesforce technical best practices architectural patterns and governor limits to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
  4. Lead technical discussions perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and security protocols.
  5. Collaborate with Product Owners Business Analysts and other stakeholders to define technical specifications and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  6. Mentor and guide junior Salesforce developers and administrators fostering their technical growth and understanding of the Salesforce platform.
  7. Oversee Salesforce integrations with external systems ensuring data integrity and seamless communication.
  8. Stay current with Salesforce releases new features and emerging technologies assessing their potential impact and value.
  9. Assist in troubleshooting debugging and resolving complex technical issues.
  10. Provide training and ongoing support to internal teams to ensure effective Salesforce adoption.
Requirements


Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Deep expertise in Salesforce platform capabilities both declarative and programmatic.
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable Salesforce solutions making informed decisions between configuration and custom code.
  • Strong proficiency in Apex Lightning Web Components SOQL and Salesforce APIs.
  • Experience with Drupal (Acquia platform) and cross-platform data synchronization strongly preferred particularly in environments requiring secure scalable integration with enterprise systems.
  • Problem Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and system optimization.
  • Strong Communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including mentoring guiding and reviewing the work of other technical team members.
  • Collaboration: Works well across cross-functional teams including IT Product and Business.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data model security model and deployment best practices.
  • Familiarity with UX design principles and close collaboration with product teams
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and requirements.
  • Patience & Supportiveness: Provides training and guidance in a way thats approachable and empowering for users new to Salesforce.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development and solution design with at least two (2) years in a lead or technical leadership role.
  • Bachelors degree in computer science IT or a related field.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (required) or II (preferred).
  • Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certifications (preferred).
  • Experience with Sales Cloud required.


Additional Comments:

  • Hours: 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.; some overtime may be required.
  • Location: The position is based out of our corporate office in Wayne PA where we have a hybrid work schedule (Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays in office with Mondays and Fridays remote).
  • Travel: Occasionally required (up to three times per year).
