Project Overview
Great Basin Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Commercial Painter for a 1-day project inside a major commercial airport in Portland OR.
This is a precision high-visibility environment requiring experienced painters who can deliver clean professional finishes on ceilings and walls while working safely in an active regulated facility.
This is not entry-level work candidates must be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Paint interior ceilings and walls in a commercial airport environment
Deliver clean smooth professional finishes with strong attention to detail
Perform surface prep including cleaning masking taping and protection of surrounding areas
Work safely around active operations and maintain awareness of surroundings
Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift
Follow all jobsite safety and airport compliance requirements
Requirements
Journeyman-level commercial painting experience REQUIRED
Proven experience with interior commercial painting (ceilings walls detailed finish work)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and finish quality
Reliable punctual and professional demeanor
Comfortable working in a high-security / active public environment
Must be able to pass any required site security or background checks if applicable
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred (Nice to Have)
Experience working in airports hospitals or other high-compliance environments
Experience working on lifts or elevated surfaces (ceilings)
Own basic painting tools and PPE
Schedule & Logistics
1-Day Project Monday
Start Time: 7:00 AM (on-site ready to work)
Full shift expected (8 hours depending on scope)
