DescriptionThe Network Management team is responsible for the development and maintenance of market links and network of securities agents cash correspondents and funds transfer agents.
The mandate also includes the selection and management of domestic and international agent banks service providers and market infrastructures including maintaining and negotiating clearance and settlement custodial and cash services.
We actively monitor service quality cost effectiveness and adequate risk controls of Euroclear Banks market links and agents.
Over the last few years the team has been through a transformation focusing on cost and efficiency of our processes business resilience of our network geo-political risks and innovation such as digital assets. Being part of the same division as Banking also allows us to find synergies around credit cash and liquidity management.
The Network Management team is acting as a coordinator across different teams within the bank as the maintenance of our network of agents requires input from many other divisions such as Legal Compliance Risk Banking Operations Product Management CISO etc.
An important task is the establishment of good relationships with local market actors and industry forums with the view to capture information on market changes and to a certain extent influence future decisions.
More specifically the tasks encompass:
Role and Responsibilities:
- The Network Relationship Manager role offers a great exposure to the external world and a broad understanding of Euroclear priorities and strategic positioning.
- Regulatory changes clients demand and market changes require a constant re-assessment of our links and processes which makes the content of the role very diversified.
- As a Relationship Manager you will need to understand Euroclear preferred link set-up and explore options to make the links for which you are responsible more efficient or less prone to risks.
- You will be responsible to capture market changes impacting Euroclear but also for the implementation of regulatory changes affecting your links. Beyond the technical changes you will need to acquire a good understanding of the geo-political situation of your region and markets. You will need to build a good understanding of the Network Management policies supporting our actions and ensuring proper governance.
- The open position covers the relationship with Asia Pacific based providers.
- Besides the establishment of a good relationship with your agents you will be responsible for the monitoring of the service level offered by our providers and ensure it is available at the right price. You will update contractual documentation to ensure that what has been agreed with our providers is documented and re-negotiate fees on a regular basis.
- The team has recurrent processes that each Network Manager needs to perform for its markets and/or addition there are ad-hoc requests coming along the year which we also need to address.
- Through the review of the Relationship Management processes you will build a comprehensive understanding of the structure and operating mode of the network providers and the risks that we need to understand document and mitigate.
- For new markets and opportunities you may be required to support Product Management in their investigation of the Euroclearability of a new link or assessing the eligibility of new asset classes or services.
Required Qualifications:
Technical skills
- Good knowledge of Euroclear core products (Settlement Corporate Actions Income Tax etc);
- An understanding of Asia Pacific based providers and related services is a plus;
- Business expertise on the structure and functioning of securities markets;
- Experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with external parties (clients or providers);
- Good command of Microsoft applications including Copilot;
- Experience in fees negotiation and knowledge in Finance is a plus;
- Able to read and understand contracts and legal opinions;
- Practice of risk assessment (use of the corporate risk grid) is desirable;
- Knowledge of other languages is a plus (Mandarin).

- Excellent interpersonal communication skills both orally and in writing;
- Good negotiation and influencing skills;
- Ability and experience to work on own initiatives and take decisions;
- Fast learner high level of autonomy;
