Position Title: IT Systems Analyst
FLSA Classification: Full-Time Exempt
The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum has an opening for a full-time exempt IT Systems Analyst in the Information Technology Department. This position will require weekend on-site coverage and 3 days during the week.
Company Overview: Located in the heart of downtown Nashville the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum documents and interprets the history of country musica musical genre and culture central to the identity of the city the state and the nation. Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums the museum proudly combines subject expertise ambitious research and preservation of an unparalleled collection with expressions of creativity in music art and history. The museum collects artifacts that illustrate the evolving history and traditions of country music and provides diverse learning opportunities through educational programs publications and exhibitions. The core exhibit follows the story of country music from its folk beginnings through its evolution as a commercial art form. Rotating exhibits examine a broad range of topics from country classics to contemporary and emerging artists in American Currents. The museum owns Hatch Show Print a letterpress print shop opened in 1879 and it operates Historic RCA Studio B where Elvis Presley and many others recorded.

Job Overview: This position assists staff with technical support of desktop computers printers applications and related technology. Support includes specification installation and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines. Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique non-recurring problems. The position utilizes one-on-one consultancy to end users. The employee in this position also assists in the maintenance and testing of network servers computers and printers for deployment and associated equipment. The positions responsibilities require independent analyses communication and problem solving. Work is performed with little supervision and requires initiative and judgment.
Specific Job Duties:
- This position will require providing on-site coverage every weekend plus 3 days during the week and some holidays to address urgent IT situations as needed.Performs the installation configuration and ongoing usability of desktop computers multi-function printers and peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines.
- Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
- Works with Help Desk and Operations staff as appropriate to determine and resolve problems received from clients.
- Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment.
- Trains and orients staff on use of hardware and software.
- Recommends and / or performs upgrades on systems to ensure longevity.
- Works with procurement staff to purchase hardware and software.
- Assesses functional needs to determine specifications for purchases.
- Orders computer supplies.
- Assists in maintaining LAN/WAN records and as appropriate telephone systems cable.
- Performs physical installation of data center equipment including cabling.
- Performs cabling installations for networking and other IT equipment as directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- At least a two-year associates degree or four to six years equivalent work experience in an environment providing end-user support.
Essential Competencies (Knowledge Skills and Abilities):
- Advanced knowledge and experience in the setup and installation of hardware operating systems and application software on computers.
- Planning/organizing the individual prioritizes and plans work activities uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans. Uses excellent judgement in prioritizing and completing assigned tasks. Seeks guidance whenever a resolution path for a task is unclear.
- Fiber and copper network cabling installation.
- Windows desktop operating systems; including Windows 7 8 10 and Mac OS X.
- Microsoft Office; including Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Active Directory related activities including but not limited to domain PC joins and removals.
- System Center Operations Manager Configuration Manager and Service Manager related activities including handling of incidents service requests work items deployments and general monitoring of systems.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills.
- Quality Management the individual looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
- Ability to work well individually in a team environment and with a variety of users who have specific or unique requirements.
