40Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to join our growing and thriving organization. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys patient interaction and wants to build a career in healthcareno prior ophthalmic or optical experience required. We provide all necessary training to help you succeed.
What Youll Get
- Hands-on experience working with multiple Ophthalmic Providers across Gundersen Health System
- Comprehensive trainingno optical experience needed
- Starting hourly rate of $17.54/hour with higher pay available based on experience
- Exposure to a specialty care environment with opportunities to grow and learn
What Youll Do
- Work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday
- Typical hours are between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM
- Be based at Gundersens La Crosse Main Campus
- Have the opportunity to travel to various Gundersen optical locations
- Support providers by assisting with patient care and scribing during appointments
What Youll Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of customer service or public relations experience
- Strong communication skills and a desire to help patients feel informed and comfortable
