Job Summary

A vacancy has arisen for a Squadron Leader (Any Profession) to serve as an OASC President of the General Board at RAFC Cranwell on Full Time Reserve Service (Home Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 07 September 2026 (or earlier/later subject to candidate status).

This role is subject to the outcome of the Armed Forces Recruitment Programme (AFRP) which comes into effect 1 April 2027. Further information is currently limited but applicants can contact CRN-RecruitSelect-AFRP-Team who will share what information they can.

A President of the General Board is responsible to SO1 Select for:

  • Disposal and Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) of allnon-aptitude (exclAir Ops (Operations))candidates to achieve ITRsiawthe 22GpSDB.
  • Management of OASC input into ORB process and presentation to OF5 Board.
  • Leadthe OASCTrainingTeam.
  • Lead the maintenanceand developmentoftheOASC SOP.
  • LeadOASCs contribution to the collaboration with the President of the Aptitude BoardmaintainExercise Phase Presidential Direction on behalf of SO1 Select.
  • Undertake Line Management responsibilities for all JOs in your charge.
  • Where disposal and CRM battle rhythm allows undertake all associated responsibilities within the Boarding OfficerTORscommensuratewith your Boarding status.
  • Undertake any task as directed by SO1 Select.
  • Maintain all routine mandatory qualifications.

Additionally you are responsible for:

  • Debriefing Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) candidates.
  • Writing relevant performance-based reports on candidates.
  • Any other duties tasked by SO1 Select.
