Job Title: Closing Room Supervisor
Location: Northampton
Salary:(DOE)
Permanent / Full-Time
We are working with a well-established and highly respected footwear manufacturer in Northampton who are looking to appoint a Closing Room Supervisor to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a heritage brand known for its craftsmanship and quality offering long-term stability and career development within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the Closing Room ensuring efficient and high-quality production
- Monitor production output and maintain quality standards through regular checks and team engagement
- Provide guidance support and constructive feedback to team members to drive performance and continuous improvement
- Allocate work effectively based on team capability and production priorities
- Liaise closely with planning and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery
- Uphold and enforce quality control processes across the department
- Ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained reporting any issues promptly
- Support hands-on production where required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within footwear garment or a similar manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of production processes and quality control
- Ability to lead motivate and develop a team
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
- High attention to detail with a proactive and problem-solving approach
Desirable:
- Experience within a high-quality or heritage manufacturing environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Working hours are typically 7:15am 4:15pm Monday to Thursday and 7:15am 12:15pm on Friday. Due to the nature of the role there may occasionally be a requirement for additional hours although this is not common.
The role offers a salary ofdepending on skills and experience. Candidates with less experience may be considered at a lower starting salary with a clear pathway for progression and salary development.
