What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service at the front desk of an education location by following site-specific policies greeting visitors answering questions and directing guests to the appropriate area.
• Support access control activities by checking identification managing visitor sign-in procedures issuing temporary credentials as directed and communicating entry requirements to staff and visitors.
• Monitor alarms cameras phones radios and/or intercoms from a stationary post reporting suspicious or unusual activity and escalating concerns per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating with site staff and contacting emergency responders when appropriate.
• Complete security-related documentation such as incident reports visitor logs key control logs and shift handoff notes in a clear and timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 2 years of law enforcement military police and/or corrections experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Handcuffs pepper spray and/or baton experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
