What to Expect
The Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager is primarily responsible for all technical accounting matters for the Accounting & Tax (A&T) department. This includes but is not limited to technical accounting policies and procedures and required accounting for new business initiatives month-end IFRS close analytics and reconciliations and executing quarterly financial statement preparation for US GAAP and IFRS. In addition this role will lead the quarterly/annual external audits and deliverables.
What You Will Do
1. The Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager is primarily responsible for all technical accounting matters for the Accounting & Tax (A&T) department. This includes but is not limited to technical accounting policies and procedures and required accounting for new business initiatives month-end IFRS close analytics and reconciliations and executing quarterly financial statement preparation for US GAAP and IFRS. In addition this role will lead the quarterly/annual external audits and deliverables.
2. Financial Reporting: Prepare and/or review the quarterly and annual financial statements and accompanying disclosures for both IFRS and US GAAP. This includes but is not limited to preparing or reviewing all assigned footnotes disclosures performing analytics of those disclosures and compiling information into final financial statement format.
3. Quarterly Review/Annual Audit: Coordinate with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits; manage audit support schedules and respond to PBC requests timely. Manage deliverables in relation to quarterly financial statement reviews entity level control testing key process walkthroughs and interim/annual audit work. Lead remediation efforts on identified control deficiencies.
4. ME Close & Reconciliations: Prepare month-end IFRS close procedures including but not limited to journal entry posting reviewing GL accounts reconciliations and various financial statement analyses to ensure all transactions are recorded or reconciled properly accurately and in a timely manner.
What You Will Bring
Minimum 5-7 years progressive experience in financial reporting and/or technical accounting (mix of public accounting and industry acceptable)
Prior public accounting experience.
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA required.
Solid understanding and application of U.S. GAAP and IFRS (applying accounting principles to daily work) and the ability to perform research on proper accounting principle.
Working knowledge in using ERP general ledger.
Excellent analytical skills (investigation and resolution).
Proven project management skills for managing deadlines for close audits and filing calendars; coordinating across teams.
Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in close/filing cycles with high accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication including presentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills to successfully collaborate with cross functional departments.
Excellent time management skills (set priorities to handle workloads and meet deadlines).
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including advanced Excel Word and PowerPoint.
Highly self-motivated.
High energy and ability to work in a fast-paced business environment.
Strong orientation toward results coupled with reputation for integrity creativity and good judgment.
Work Environment
Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting standing and walking vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an at home and office environment.
The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
