KS1 Teacher & Subject Leader Enfield September 2026

A warm ambitious primary school in Enfield is seeking an experienced and passionate KS1 Teacher & Subject Leader to join their dedicated team from September 2026. This is a permanent KS1 Teacher & Subject Leader role within a school rated Good by Ofsted recognised for its nurturing ethos structured curriculum and strong commitment to developing every child and every member of staff.

The Role

As a KS1 Teacher & Subject Leader you will deliver high-quality engaging lessons across Year 1 and/or Year 2 using assessment and pupil progress data to inform your planning and raise attainment. Alongside your classroom responsibilities you will lead your designated subject across the whole school developing schemes of work monitoring standards supporting colleagues and driving meaningful improvement in your area. Building strong relationships with pupils staff and parents will be central to both your teaching and your leadership practice.

What the School is Looking For

This permanent KS1 Teacher & Subject Leader position is best suited to candidates who:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or are completing a UK-recognised teacher training programme
  • Possess a strong academic background a 2:1 degree or above from a reputable university
  • Can demonstrate solid classroom experience within a UK primary setting ideally with KS1 specialism (placements or permanent roles considered)
  • Show evidence of structured lesson delivery and measurable pupil progress in early reading writing or mathematics
  • Have experience of or a clear readiness for subject leadership responsibility within a primary school
  • Are confident working within established behaviour and safeguarding frameworks
  • Are legally entitled to work in the UK the school is unable to provide visa sponsorship

ECT applicants with a strong KS1 specialism will be considered provided formal UK teacher training has been completed.

Salary & Contract

Outer London MPS: UPS up to 56154. A TLR2 is attached to reflect subject leadership responsibilities. Exact value confirmed on application.
