Job Summary
Hours of work: 13.25 hours per week
Working pattern: Part-time Term-time only working for39weeks per year plus6.05weeks annual leave which will increase after 5 years continuous service.
As the position is part-time/term-time only the above salary will be pro rata.

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children Do you want to be part of a warm inclusive village school that values every childs potential and nurtures their growth Rotherfield Primary School is seeking a dedicated enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team and help us continue to develop our PE and sports provision.
About the Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant at Rotherfield you will play a pivotal role in supporting teaching and learning across the school with a strong focus on PE. You will work closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons support childrens progress and contribute to a positive and purposeful learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Teaching PE as part of PPA cover
- Promoting positive behaviour through our therapeutic thinking approach.
- Organising and managing learning spaces and resources safely.
- Building strong relationships with children colleagues and families to support each childs development.
- Organise sporting events with local schools and accompany children to the events.

About You
We are looking for a confident motivated professional who shares our values of inclusion resilience and collaboration. You will have:
- HLTA qualification and experience in the HLTA role
- A passion for teaching children a range of different sports
- A strong understanding of how children learn and the ability to adapt your approach to meet diverse needs.
- Excellent communication skills to engage sensitively and effectively with children colleagues and families.
- The ability to contribute actively to lesson planning and assessment.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and a commitment to promoting positive behaviour.
- A passion for professional development and a willingness to embrace new challenges.
