Your Opportunity

Are you passionate about empowering parents to build brighter futures As a Pathways Coach at Mission Australia you will play a vital role in guiding parents through vocational and non-vocational challenges helping them achieve sustainable employment and education success.

Using a strengths-based approach you will provide both one-on-one and group support fostering social and emotional well-being while equipping parents with the tools to reach their goals. By building strong community connections you will ensure parents feel valued and supported on their journey toward long-term positive change.

In this rewarding role you will also collaborate with other Parent Pathways sites enhancing service delivery across the region. Based primarily in Campbelltown you will travel across Claymore Gregory Hills Camden and Bringelly.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Manage a caseload by identifying and addressing participants vocational and non-vocational barriers providing tailored support and individualized Pathway Plans aligned with the Mission Australia and Parent Pathways mission.
• Develop and deliver targeted educational and pre-employment programs along with structured group training workshops to enhance participants skills and employability.
• Maintain knowledge of the local job market to connect participants with suitable employment opportunities while actively gathering feedback to enhance service delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including Centrelink Workforce Australia and community services providers to facilitate seamless service coordination and ensure positive participant outcomes.
• Ensure effective program delivery by adhering to operational procedures maintaining accurate record-keeping and completing administrative tasks within deadlines while complying with internal and external guidelines.

Requirements for Success

• Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate III or IV in Community Services Employment Services Career Counselling Health or a related field (or currently pursuing). A Mental Health First Aid Certificate or First Aid Certificate is desirable.
• Experience in Family Services Workforce Australia Services or case management aligning with the roles focus on participant support and program delivery.
• Proven ability to assist participants in overcoming barriers to employment or education while maintaining strong relationships and individualized support.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong organizational and administrative capabilities including proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT systems.
• Positive team player with a professional approach maintaining boundaries; willingness to travel regionally Within Sydney Southwest region and adapt to various program needs providing relief and support as required.
• Current Drivers License.

Before starting work with us you will need to undertake a national police history check qualifications and referee checks and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
