COMPANY PROFILE
Primoris Energy Services is a major direct-hire contractor in the U.S. delivering self-performed turnkey industrial construction and EPC services. We offer these services to our clients within the refining gas processing chemical/petrochemical hydrogen power generation mining pulp and paper industries from the first groundbreaking activity all the way through commissioning and start-up of the project. Primoris forms a partnership with our customers and major stakeholders from early-stage engineering through construction completion and commercial operation safely on-time and within budget.
SUMMARY
Reporting functionally to the Primoris Energy Services HR Manager and operationally to the Project manager the Project HR Advisor is responsible for monitoring and addressing manpower requirements on site and working with project management and supervision on any HR issues that may arise on site. The position will be based on a project site within the United States (likely in the Gulf Coast region). The role qualifies for 7 days per diem.
JOB DUTIES
- Ensure manpower requisitions are completed properly by supervisors (with appropriate approval)
- Provide supervision with resumes to review/approve if necessary
- Complete any pre-access requirements for prospective hires (drug screening background checks qualification verification safety training etc)
- Coordinate with various departments on requirements to mobilize candidate to job site
- Work with recruitment department to ensure coordination of any targeted recruitment campaigns and/or assistance with niche roles
- Conduct supervisor HR related training and provide coaching to all levels of supervision
- Ensure disciplinary policies on site are followed
- Ensure supervision and project management follow policies and procedures and provide guidance when required
- Process terminations layoffs rate changes promotions and any other personnel updates
- Maintain compliance with any required trade certification/documentation maintenance
- Ensure compliance with the Client and Company policies
- Assist in general site administration duties as required for cross-coverage
- Other duties as required by management
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- 3 - 5 years experience in the industry of industrial construction/oil and gas specifically with project site HR advisory experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work to travel and work at a project site
- Skilled in the use of MS Office (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint)
- Understand employment/labor law and confidentiality
- Must be able to work under pressure to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Possess strong organizational skills
A SHRM or PHR designation (or working towards a designation) would be considered an asset.
