Job Summary
The Senior Manager SRE will lead reliability and automation efforts for a focused set of Vertafore products or platforms (e.g. AMS360 & Sagitta OR CI/CD platform services). This role ensures operational excellence through SLIs/SLOs monitoring and automation while managing a team of engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Reliability
- Own SLIs/SLOs and monitoring for assigned products or platforms.
- Implement observability tools and dashboards for proactive performance management.
- CI/CD & Automation
- Manage build/release pipelines and provisioning automation for assigned scope.
- Reduce operational toil through scripting and automation-first practices.
- Incident Response
- Lead on-call rotations; ensure timely resolution and root cause analysis.
- Collaboration
- Work with Directors and VP SRE to align reliability initiatives with organizational goals.
- Partner with Cloud Ops for infrastructure readiness and patching coordination.
- Team Development
- Mentor engineers; foster a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 12 years in SRE or DevOps roles; 5 years in people leadership.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab Jenkins OctopusDeploy).
- Strong AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code skills.
- Excellent incident management and communication skills.
