Job Description Summary
The Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist - will work at the Erlanger KY Service Center to service and manufacture large scale power generation equipment along with their subassemblies by following blueprints and specific work instructions.Job Description
As the CNC Machinist you will:
- Work in a shop environment safely with zero accidents and/or injuries
- Set-up and operate various CNC Machine Tools Horizontal/Vertical Mills
- Read CNC programs familiar with G & M codes
- Make minor edits to CNC programs
- Read and interpret Engineered Blue Print dwgs
- Understand and apply geometric tolerances
- Set up and safely use various inspection tools and gages (i.e. inner diameter (I/D) & outer diameter (O/D) Mics calipers Pi-tape bore gages Tri-mics thread gages etc...)
- Machine to required tolerances of .001 - .005
- Determine machining feeds and speeds and tool selections
- Work effectively with team to ensure successful delivery to customer
