Position Overview
Saint Leo the Great Catholic School is seeking an enthusiastic mission-driven Library Information Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a library program aligned with Diocese of Arlington guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to integrate literacy research and inquiry across all grade levels
- Foster a love of reading and promote lifelong learning
- Teach information literacy digital citizenship and ethical use of resources
- Curate and manage library collections based on curriculum and student needs
- Integrate technology and innovative tools to enhance learning
- Support faculty in embedding critical thinking and research skills into instruction
- Maintain an organized welcoming and accessible library environment
- Guide students and families in locating evaluating and using resources effectively
- Promote literacy initiatives and school-wide reading culture
Qualifications
Required:
- VA license or VCEA certification
- Alignment with the mission of Catholic education
- Bachelors degree minimum
- Strong communication organization and collaboration skills
- Passion for working with children and fostering a love of learning
Preferred:
- Library Science background or certification
- Experience in a school or educational setting
- Familiarity with instructional technology and digital resources
- Practicing Catholic (preferred)
