Job Summary
Summary:
The Service Porter supports the service department by greeting customers moving and parking vehicles and ensuring the dealerships service area is clean organized and efficient. This role helps create a positive customer experience while maintaining smooth service drive operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet all customers entering the service area with a friendly professional attitude; answer questions and direct them to the appropriate person or location.
- Determine if customers have service appointments and record customer name VIN tag number mileage and note any existing vehicle damage (walk-around).
- Move and park vehicles on dealership premises to maintain a smooth traffic flow.
- Drive vehicles to and from the service lane service stalls and parking lot as needed.
- Keep the lot driveways and sidewalks clean organized and presentable.
- Provide excellent customer service and direct guests to the correct personnel.
- Retrieve customer vehicles at cashier for pick-up deliver vehicle and thank customers.
- Install disposable seat covers steering wheel covers floor mats and ID tags in all vehicles.
- Assist the service department as needed such as replenishing fluids or minor vehicle assistance.
- Follow all company safety policies and report any accidents immediately to a manager or supervisor.
Qualifications :
- Valid drivers license with a good driving record.
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles (or willingness to learn if required).
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable punctual and able to follow directions.
- Must be authorized to work in the USA
- Must be willing to undergo pre-employment compliance requirements: Drug testing background check MVR.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a porter valet or in a similar automotive or customer service role.
- Familiarity with dealership operations or service drive processes.
Additional Information :
Compensation (Hourly):
- $18.00 / hour
Schedule:
- FULL TIME
- Sundays off
- Saturday availability required
