Junior Software Developer

Overview

Nomad Digital are looking for a JuniorSoftware Developer who willbe responsible foroverseeing the specification design implementation andtestof software components and solutions. This person will use the Nomad development guidelines and be able to provide the required design and development documentationaccordingthe Nomad development process. We are seeking a developer who has two to three years of experience as adeveloper with the focus onweband mobile technologiesor a university degreein the area ofsoftware development or informaticsand is highly skilled in modernsoftwaredevelopmentin the context of web applications.

The candidate should be keen on workingina fast pace leading edge technology agile andcustomer facingenvironment.

This role will be based in our Hildesheim office on a hybrid basis

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Todesignanddevelopdesktopandmobilewebapplicationsusingtechnologiesincludingbutnot limited toJavaScriptPythonHTMLCSSandSQL-Server.

• Breakdown major epics into stories and development tasks and guide internal junior developers and contractors to reliable results.

• Towork withcustomers bothdirectlyandindirectlyin order todevelop specifications that may be usedbyyouor others in the development ofapplications.

• To oversee designand implement applications according toproductand projectspecifications.

• Performdevelopmentprocess according to Nomads development process andrules.

• Oversee the3rdlinesupport to projectteams.

• Toprovidesuggestionsto improve or enhance Nomads productsprocessesandstandards.

• Totake over responsibility forproductand project specific softwarereleases.

• Tomentor the Software development team.
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• Masterdegree incomputerscience informatics or equivalent

• Optional:Extensiveknowledgeofwebtechnologies includingbutnot limited toNode.js JavaScriptPython HTML5 CSS3RESTJSONJQuery Experience developing richclientapplications inJavaScript.

• Knowledgeand experienceswithdatabase design

• Welleducatedand experiencedwithsoftware engineering anddesignmethodsincludingagile extreme programmingobject-orienteddesignanddesignpatterns.

• Large background inopen Api/swagger for API development

• Used to work in in modern development environment including continuous integration and delivery chains

Advantageous:

• Additionalprogramming languageslikeC; PHP

• Knowledge about security in software

Experience

Essential

• Masters degree in computer scienceinformaticsor equivalent

• Experiencein software engineering and agile methodologies andV-Modell

• Experienced inworkinginstructuredenvironmentincludingversioncontrolcontinuousbuild/ integration gateway processesetc.

• Abletohandleandmaintainlargesets ofexistinglibraries andcode.

Advantageous:

• 2-3 yearsexperiencein application developmentandarchitecturewithafocus onwebandmobile technologiesandplatforms.

Other Essential Requirements:

• Fluent in both German and English language written and verbal.
