Whats exciting about this position
Sectra is looking for a System Administrator Intern to support our internal IT operations. This role offers hands-on experience with real production systems in a fast-growing healthcare technology environment.
As an intern youll work closely with experienced system administrators and IT professionals gaining exposure to system configuration user support networking and security best practices. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build practical experience in IT operations and system administration.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation configuration and maintenance of laptops and software.
- Provide Tier 1 technical support for hardware software and basic network issues.
- Manage user accounts permissions and access rights in Active Directory or similar systems.
- Support regular system updates patches and backups.
- Assist with the maintenance of network equipment (switches routers firewalls) under supervision.
- Document system configurations procedures and troubleshooting steps.
- Help with employee onboarding and offboarding including device setup and access configuration.
- Follow security best practices and assist with IT compliance initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior administrators on system upgrades and internal projects.
